Easy Egg & Bacon Pie

If you’re looking for a recipe that is perfect for school and work lunches, then this Easy Egg & Bacon Pie should be at the top of your list. Make it the night before while you’re cooking dinner for a fuss-free option. You can also make this ahead of time and freeze in individual portions. It tastes just as yummy served cold, which makes it the perfect lunch box addition.

Peanut Butter Dip

Make a big batch of this Peanut Butter Dip and send it along in a small sealable container in your child’s lunchbox (if your school allows nuts – otherwise keep it for an afternoon snack). Kids will love dipping fruit slices into this creamy, nutty dip!

Homemade Pita Bread Chips

For an easy and  healthy snack, send along a few homemade pita bread chips. These make a much better alternative to packet chips! Oh and why not make a healthy hummus or roast capsicum dip to go with the pita chips.

Zucchini & Corn Muffins

For a savoury treat that’s sure to please even the fussiest of eaters, whip up a batch of Zucchini & Corn Muffins. Make them on the weekend and store in an airtight container for a quick and easy lunchbox snack. Or why not make a double batch and freeze in individual portions – just grab them out the night before and they’ll be defrosted by the morning!

Chewy ANZAC Biscuits

ANZAC Biscuits would have to be one of the most popular (and simple) lunchbox snacks. Perfect for a midmorning treat – your little one is going to LOVE these biscuits. Best of all, they’ll take you no time at all to prepare. This recipe can easily be doubled or even tripled… depending on how many hungry kiddies you’re feeding!

Banana Pikelets

Pikelets don’t just make for a very yummy breakfast… they’re also a great thing to pop into your child’s lunchbox. Add a smear of jam or butter, or leave as is. These are also perfect for an after school energy boost (without spoiling your child’s appetite for dinner!).
