We made these sausage rolls on the weekend and they were delicious, they were easy enough for the kids to help with and we froze the left over for lunch box snacks.
Ingredients
1 kilo sausage meat
2 eggs
1 carrot grated fine
half onion diced fine
1 clove minced garlic
1 cup bread crumbs
6 sheets puff pastry
Milk to brush pasty
Tomato sauce
Method
Preheat oven to 180 degrees
Add all the ingredients except the milk and pasty to a bowl and combine well.
Cut each pastry sheet into quarters.
Add 2 tablespoons filling to the middle.
Add a squirt of tomato sauce.
Fold over and brush with milk, we seal the edges but you can leave them open if you like. don’t over fill them or they will bust out the sides.
Pop in the oven for 30 – 40 minutes until golden in colour.
