$10.00 Three cheese macaroni with bacon

Mac-and-cheese-750x480

This is a great dish you can take to a barbeque if you are told ‘don’t bring a thing’, its not a salad, its not a meat dish and its not bread.  Who doesn’t like macaroni cheese? We eat this with a salad, or sometimes we just eat it on it’s own!

Ingredients

1/2 cup of cream

1/2 cup of milk

250g of cooking cream cheese

2 cups of grated tasty cheese

1 teaspoon of mustard

1 teaspoon of smoky paprika

1 brown onion (finely diced)

300g of bacon

Method

Cook your macaroni until al dente, drain and put aside.

In a fry pan brown your diced onion and bacon.  Add the cooked macaroni and the rest of the ingredients (keeping one cup of grated cheese aside) and stir over a low heat until the cheese is completely melted and the ingredients are combined.

Place in an oven proof baking dish and scatter the rest of the grated cheese ontop.

Cook in 200 for 20 minutes, or until cheese is brown and bubbly.

Enjoy!
